JSE-listed Firestone Energy has revealed that its non-executive director, Kobus Terblanche, has resigned from the company effective immediately.

As a result, the Waterberg Coal Company has withdrawn its s249D requisition issued to the company on 18 June 2013, to convene a shareholders’ meeting to seek the removal of Terblanche as a director.

“I would like to thank Mr Terblanche for his valuable contribution to the board over the past year and a half of his tenure as a non-executive director of the company, and for his insights on many strategic issues. We wish him well in his future endeavours,” said Firestone Energy’s chairperson Tim Tebeila.
