The ability to successfully develop and deliver a specialised lift solution was demonstrated in the heavy-lift operation undertaken by Johnson Crane Hire at Sasol’s Secunda plant recently. And, it was by no means a small feat.
The scope of the project entailed the removal three vessels for the gas-heated heat exchanger reformer project on the gas reforming plant at Sasol Secunda.
Previous attempts at removing these vessels during a prior shutdown had proved very costly due to valuable time being wasted.
Johnson Crane leveraged its previous experience on challenging lifts to complete the project nine days ahead of schedule.
